for Origin Group and Durkan Ltd.

23 apartments with secure children’s play area and cycle parking located on a site immediately adjacent to a Network Rail tunnel and London Underground railway cutting in the Kings Cross Conservation Area.

This is a masonry building with two layers of foundations – strip footings separated by a piled concrete transfer type foundation with acoustically designed vibration bearings to limit the transfer of vibration from nearby trains to the building. The architecture is designed to complement the Victorian warehouses and mansions blocks in this area south of Kings Cross Station. Arrays of solar panels feature on the roof to provide on-site renewable energy.
